Senvion India will continue to offer a full-scope of supply, servicing and manufacturing while improving efficiency and streamlining operations, Senvion stated.
It will be given all licenses to extent necessary, knowledge for research and development (R&D), and technical support to strengthen local capabilities, the German manufacturer added.
Senvion has been struggling to remain afloat after “operational mistakes” caused a severe cash flow crisis earlier this year.
At the end of July, the manufacturer’s creditors and lenders extended its insolvency loan, giving the company more time to negotiate potential takeover deals.
Senvion has just over 1.2GW installed in India, according to Windpower Intelligence, the research and data division of Windpower Monthly. This includes one prototype unit of its new 2.3M 130 turbine in Gujarat.
