Panasonic has launched its pin-type lithium-ion battery model, the CG-425A.
The battery has a nominal voltage of 3.8V with a typical capacity of 32.0 mAh. It has a diameter of 4.7mm and weighs about 1g without tabs. It is small and slim cylindrically shaped and is able to be rapidly charged. The battery’s stainless steel exterior can give the battery dimensional stability.
Panasonic suggests that the batter is best used for powering small applications like wearable devices, electronic pens, hearing aids and measuring devices, smart drug delivery systems, wireless earbuds, tracking and security devices and specialty eyewear.
“We are pleased to expand our product line of pin-type lithium-ion batteries,” Keisuke Yoneda, Panasonic resident engineer, said in a press release. “Customers can visit our website to request samples to determine how our battery will help power their application.”
