Jaguar Land Rover Korea said on Monday its highly lauded all-electric I-PACE is now available for sale in Korea. The 5-seat luxury sport utility electric vehicle has received positive feedback from the market after its debut in other countries for instant acceleration, precise handling and spacious interior.
The I-PACE powertrain provides 400 hp and a max torque of 71.0㎏.m, accelerating from 0-100 km/h in 4.8 seconds.
The car is propelled by two permanent magnet synchronous electric motors integrated with the front and rear axles. Each motor provides 35.5㎏.m of instant torque. The EV’s motor was designed based on the marque’s knowledge and experience from the I-TYPE, a Formula race car.
The aluminum platform-based I‑PACE 90kWh battery with 36 modules is designed for longevity and supports protracted periods of sustained maximum power. The battery’s position within the wheelbase provides the vehicle with a lower center of gravity by 130mm than that of the F-PACE, naturally benefiting vehicle dynamics.
The battery based on high energy density lithium ion pouch cells provides a driving range of 333km on single charging.
The I-PACE’s retail price starts from 110,400,000 won ($98,300) for the EV400 SE and 124,700,000 won for the EV400 HSE and 128,000,000 won for the EV400 First Edition.
