The numbers tell a compelling story. Global lithium demand is projected to rise sharply through the end of the decade, with battery-grade lithium carbonate equivalent requirements outpacing current supply in several forward-looking scenarios. Recovery rates that once hovered in the low-to-mid seventies percentile range are now regularly exceeding eighty percent at well-optimized operations, meaningfully reducing the ore volumes required to produce a given unit of battery-grade material. These efficiency gains compound over the life of a mine, improving internal rates of return and making previously marginal deposits commercially viable. As more capital flows into process innovation, the long-run cost curve for hard rock mining expansion continues to flatten in ways that support sustained investment even during periods of lithium price softness.

That price dimension matters enormously.
