
* Indonesian state miner PT Aneka Tambang (Antam) said it posted a profit of 874.42 billion rupiah ($61.06 million) in 2018, over six times the profit a year earlier, the company said on Monday
* Profit surge was mostly supported by higher output and sales of commodities such as nickel and bauxite, as well as lower costs, it said
* Antam’s revenue in 2018 came in at 25 trillion rupiah, nearly doubled from 2017
* The company’s nickel ore output surged 67 percent to 9.32 million tonnes, while nickel ore sales more than doubled to 6.34 million tonnes in 2018 from 2.94 million tonnes
* Antam’s 2018 ferronickel output was 24,868, up 14 percent from a year earlier, while its ferronickel sales was 24,135 TNi in 2018, up 10 percent from 2017
