The patent images of Geely’s first MPV model were exposed recently. Coded VF 11, the new model has no formal name yet. It will offer a 1.5T gasoline-powered version and a PHEV version.
Adopting Geely’s iconic ripple-style design language at its front end, the model features sharp headlights with V-shape chrome trims stretching to inside headlights. Compared with the revealed MPV concept model, the new MPV features a family-used MPV style, delivering a sense of stability and gentility as well as a futuristic and modern sense.
In terms of its rear end, the new MPV looks simple and neat with its tail lights connected with a long chrome trim in the middle. With chrome trims and a silver fender as well as a black plastic plate below the bumper, the model’s neat and simple sense was strongly strengthened.
The new MPV boasts the same smooth, simple and elegant body lines as the concept model. In addition, the new model features a fashionable floating roof design. It measures 4,706 mm in length, 1,909 mm in width and 1,664 mm in height and sets on a wheelbase of 2,805mm. Besides, it offers three optional interior seating layouts, namely five-seat, six-seat and seven-seat layouts.
The new model will offer optional LED headlights, front fog lights, sunroof, panoramic video, parking radar and ACC according to different model variants. Additionally, the new MPV will be equipped with three tire options.
Geely’s new MPV model will come with a 1.5T JLH-3G15TD engine with a maximum power output of 130kW. In addition, the PHEV version of the new model will boast a fuel consumption of 1.7L/100km, thanks to a plug-in hybrid system which features a 1.5T engine, an electric motor and a ternary lithium battery pack.
