On a single charge the car can travel about 500km.
JAC iEV electric car A50, which will be launched in China, compared with most available today in the market of electric vehicles, nearly twice the range of motion on one battery charge — 500 km.
This is the first electric vehicle to the Chinese manufacturer that competes with Geely and BYD, of the five planned for 2018.
According to AutoHome, iEV A50 will be shown at the Beijing auto show in April. In size it is approximately the same as the four-door Renault Megane: 590 length of 4 mm, 765 mm width 1 and height 1 490 mm, wheelbase 2 710 mm.
To attract customers, JAC had to do something special, so he gave him a battery pack that can give new models a decent range, but to maintain a competitive minimum price. Of course, there will be less “long-range” version iEVA50 equipped with a battery capacity of 47 kW/hour, which allows to pass only 330 kilometers.
Overall I believe the Chinese will offer three different models with different ranges of motion that are classified from the smallest to the largest, versions of family, commercial and business vehicles.
Under the rear seat the battery in the fast charging mode can charge in 1.5 hours to 80 percent capacity. And the engine capacity of 150 HP, according to the manufacturer, can accelerate to a maximum speed of 150 km/h.
As reported by CarNewsChina, the new EV from JAC will start to sell after a debut at the Beijing auto show at a price that starts from 70,000 yuan (11,000 U.S. dollars). After starting iEV A50 offensive JAC in the segment of electric cars will continue iEV 6ES, 7S iEV, iEV iEV 7 and A60, they all promise a decent range of motion.
In the first month of 2018, it became clear that the JAC is working with Volkswagen to produce a new car under a local version of the brand Seat. VW-JAC-Seat will probably use a lithium battery with a high ratio of energy capacity of 39 kW/hour, giving it a range of 350 km, as iEV 7S.
Last year, JAC sold in the Chinese market is just over 28,000 vehicles and have set a goal to sell this year, almost twice as much.
