Bold Ventures Inc. (TSXV: BOL; OTCQB: BVLDF) reported that a Spring 2026 induced polarization survey at its Joutel Property, 140 km northwest of Val d’Or, Québec, identified 30 chargeability anomalies across West and East grids, 14 of them ranked first priority, and said the northern part of the project is now ready for drill testing.

Bold Ventures Inc. (TSXV: BOL) (OTCQB: BVLDF) has put numbers on the ground work at its Joutel Property in Québec, reporting that a Spring 2026 induced polarization survey picked out 30 chargeability anomalies across two survey grids, with 14 of them ranked as first-priority targets. The property sits 140 km northwest of Val d’Or, in the heart of Québec’s Abitibi belt, and the northern block is now, in the company’s words, ready for the drill.

Induced polarization, usually shortened to IP, is a ground geophysical method that pushes current into the rock and measures how long it holds a charge. Sulphide minerals — the host for most nickel and many gold and silver occurrences — hold charge well, which is what geologists mean by “chargeability.” Pair that with resistivity, a measure of how strongly the rock resists current, and an explorer can start to distinguish a sulphide body from clay, graphite or water-filled fractures. Bold said its anomalies commonly show moderate to strong chargeability alongside moderate to high resistivity, and sit on contact or fault zones, which the company reads as potential for structurally controlled sulphide mineralization.

Airborne anomalies narrowed to ground targets

The survey was not a blind sweep. It was aimed at Versatile Time Domain Electromagnetic (VTEM) anomalies in the northern part of the property — airborne conductors already flagged from the air and, importantly, spatially associated with historical nickel, gold and silver values returned by earlier diamond drilling. That sequence matters in exploration economics. Airborne electromagnetics is cheap per square kilometre and coarse; ground IP is more expensive per line kilometre and far more precise. Running the second over the best of the first is the standard way a junior converts a broad footprint into a collar location without spending drill dollars to find out where to drill.

The two grids were labelled West and East. Of the 30 chargeability anomalies logged, 14 carry first-priority status, which leaves 16 in the second tier — a rough split of just under half at the top rank, on an illustrative reading of the company’s own count. For a single season of ground work on one block of one property, a target inventory of that size is a meaningful result, though ranking is a geological judgement, not an assay.

“The IP survey was successful in detailing drill targets in the vicinity of historical values of nickel, gold and silver,” said Bruce MacLachlan, President and COO of Bold Ventures. “The northern part of the project area is now ready for drill testing. We anticipate a busy fall and winter season as we have multiple projects that are essentially drill ready.”

Nickel, gold and silver in one target package

The metal mix is worth pausing on. Historical drilling at Joutel produced anomalous values in nickel as well as gold and silver, so the targets Bold has ranked are not a single-commodity bet. That is a practical advantage for a small explorer: a structurally controlled sulphide system that carries base and precious metals gives the company two audiences for the same drill hole. Nickel demand narratives run through stainless steel and battery cathodes; gold and silver run through the bullion market. A junior with both in the same target package has more ways to stay relevant to generalist investors through a soft patch in either.

What the release does not do — and cannot, at this stage — is establish that any of the 30 anomalies contain economic mineralization. Chargeability highs are indications of a physical property, not a resource. Barren pyrite, graphitic sediments and certain alteration assemblages all light up on an IP receiver. Only the drill bit converts a first-priority target into a mineralized intercept, and most first-priority targets, across the industry and over time, do not.

The market’s read on a sub-dime stock

Bold’s U.S. listing gives the clearest live read on sentiment. BVLDF last traded at 0.05 as of the close on Wednesday, 26 August 2026 at 20:00 GMT, up 3.84% on the day, with the session’s high and low both printing at that same 0.05 level — the practical reality of a stock quoted in half-cent increments, where a single tick is a percentage move that would be a shock at large-cap scale. The company’s primary listing is on the TSX Venture Exchange under BOL.

05 level — the practical reality of a stock quoted in half-cent increments, where a single tick is a percentage move that would be a shock at large-cap scale.

Context for that move: the broad U.S. tape was close to flat in the same session, with the S&P 500 tracker SPY at $766.08, up 0.02%, the Nasdaq 100 tracker QQQ at $711.37, up 0.09%, and the Dow tracker DIA at $534.23, down 0.19%. Whatever moved Bold’s American quote, it was not index beta.

Why the investor awareness agreement sits alongside the geophysics

In the same announcement, Bold said it has signed an investor awareness agreement. For a company of this size, that pairing is not incidental. Drilling 14 priority targets across multiple projects costs money that a sub-dime explorer raises from equity, and equity issuance depends on a bid existing at all. Awareness and marketing mandates are how micro-cap issuers try to keep a quote liquid enough that a financing can be placed without collapsing the price. Investors should treat the geological news and the promotional news as two separate things to assess: the first is verifiable over time by assay results, the second is a spending decision on visibility.

The detail of the survey results was set out in the company’s release carried by INN Precious Metals.

What to watch through the fall and winter

Three things will tell the story from here. First, whether Bold announces a funded, permitted drill programme at Joutel specifically, rather than a general statement that projects are drill ready — MacLachlan flagged “multiple projects” competing for the same season. Second, which of the 14 first-priority anomalies gets tested first, and whether the collars are placed on the West or East grid; the ranking implies a sequence, and the sequence reveals where the company’s real conviction sits. Third, the financing. A junior that has just built a 30-target inventory has told the market it needs cash to test it, and the terms of any raise — price, warrant coverage, whether insiders participate — will say more about how the market values these anomalies than the survey release itself.

Frequently asked questions

What did Bold Ventures’ IP survey at Joutel find?

The Spring 2026 induced polarization survey identified 30 chargeability anomalies across two grids, West and East, in the northern part of the Joutel Property. Fourteen of the 30 are ranked first priority. They commonly show moderate to strong chargeability with moderate to high resistivity and sit on contact or fault zones, which Bold interprets as potential for structurally controlled sulphide mineralization.

Where is the Joutel Property?

Joutel is located 140 km northwest of Val d’Or, Québec, in the province’s established Abitibi mining region. The northern part of the project area is the block covered by the Spring 2026 induced polarization survey, and Bold Ventures says that portion is now ready for drill testing.

What is an induced polarization survey?

Induced polarization, or IP, is a ground geophysical technique that injects electrical current into rock and measures how long the ground retains a charge. Sulphide minerals hold charge strongly, producing chargeability highs. Combined with resistivity readings, IP helps explorers locate possible sulphide bodies and place drill holes, but it does not prove that mineralization is economic.

Which metals is Bold targeting at Joutel?

Historical diamond drilling on the property returned anomalous nickel, gold and silver values, and the airborne VTEM electromagnetic anomalies targeted by the IP survey are spatially associated with those historical results. That gives the ranked targets a mixed base-and-precious-metal profile rather than exposure to a single commodity.

How did Bold Ventures’ stock trade?

The OTCQB quote BVLDF last traded at 0.05, up 3.84%, at the close on 26 August 2026 at 20:00 GMT, with the day’s high and low both at that level. For comparison, the broad U.S. market was near flat that session: SPY at $766.08, up 0.02%, and QQQ at $711.37, up 0.09%.

What does the investor awareness agreement mean?

Bold said in the same announcement that it has signed an investor awareness agreement. Such mandates are commonly used by micro-cap explorers to raise their market visibility and maintain trading liquidity, which matters because drill programmes at this scale are funded through equity issuance. It is a marketing arrangement, separate from the survey’s geological findings.
