Although it may only be October, it’s never too early to make sure your car is winter ready.
To help give drivers some peace of mind, AAA East Central is hosting a Battery Wellness Clinic Thursday at the Erie branch at 6660 Peach St.
Technicians will be on hand, checking car batteries to make sure they are strong enough to endure the Erie cold. They say dead batteries are the number one service call during the winter.
Matt Philips, Pacesetter Operations Manager at AAA East Central says “the heat of the summer is what damages the battery. And then when winter comes and the cold weather starts, that damage becomes apparent, and the car won’t start.”
If needed, attendees can purchase batteries on the spot.
The Battery Wellness clinic is free and runs from 10 a.m. to 3 p.m.
